Privacy Policy

Eureka Expert CV, the organisation behind CleverKids, attaches great importance to the way in which your personal data and those of others are handled. The legislator also underlines the importance of this, and has laid down a number of obligations in the 'European General Data Processing Regulation' (also known as 'GDPR'). The document below discusses the various aspects that are part of this regulation.

If you use CleverKids as a visitor and if you decide to register yourself and/or pupils and teachers or choose to communicate data on CleverKids, you declare yourself in agreement with the use of the data you provide in accordance with this statement.

If Eureka Expert CV changes this statement after you have agreed to the change, Eureka Expert CV will take the necessary steps to inform you about the change. When you log in after the change you will be informed of the new statement via a banner or a pop-up. At that point, you may be required to read and agree to the new statement before you can continue to work on CleverKids.

Eureka Expert CV knows that having students work on the Internet can be challenging. Eureka Expert CV therefore makes every effort to create the safest possible Internet environment for minors, while taking a healthy dose of caution when designing the content of CleverKids and respecting the processing of these minors' data.

The term "data" can refer to both the data of adults (teachers, parents, speech therapists, etc.) and minors (children and pupils).

Eureka Expert CV

Hereinafter referred to as "THE COMPANY".

Carefully read this Privacy Policy, as it contains essential information about how your Personal Data is processed and what cookies are used. By providing your personal data on the website and by providing the e-mail addresses listed on this website, you declare that you have read this Privacy Policy and that you expressly agree with it, as well as with the processing itself.

1.1 As far as minors are concerned, parents and qualified adults are liable for their actions. In view of their age and the laws enacted, it is not for the children to authorise the use of CleverKids, but for the people responsible for their actions to do so (Article 1384 of the Civil Code).

1.2 When creating an account for minors, we always ask explicitly whether the adult in question is authorised to create such a profile. In addition, the parent or guardian must also have given permission to the adult (e.g. teacher) to create the student on the Website. If a school uses the platform, it is responsible for the processing of data and must take the necessary action.

The company assumes that parental approval is best given through the school rules (or any alternative approval). Thus, parents must explicitly indicate their consent to the use of CleverKids (and the retention of personal data by the Company through CleverKids) by their children.

If the school has not obtained parental consent, the parent can always be notified when creating a student by adding the parent's/guardian's email address in the registration process.

1.3 The company will not collect more data than necessary for its mission in relation to the schools. This concerns the following data:

  • Name of the user so that teachers can consult individual results, but also differentiate their students when assigning exercises;

  • IP address for reporting purposes;

  • Email address of the adult for content support (teachers can receive a list of results at their email address), for direct marketing, and for account management.

1.4 The Company does not collect sensitive personal data about individuals (such as data on race, political opinions, health, religious and other beliefs).

2.1 As the school is responsible for the processing of personal data in CleverKids (both teachers and pupils), it is also the school's responsibility to correctly inform the users about the use of this data.

Any exercise of rights (e.g. to be deleted as a user) should be addressed to the school, as it is the school that records and maintains the data.

3.1 The company (repeatedly: Eureka Expert CV) will use personal data on its own initiative as little as possible. Whenever the data will be used, we shall expressly inform you of this.

The use of your personal data may be necessary for the following purposes:

  • Visitor administration (including confirmation mail concerning login data) of adults (parent, teacher, ...);

  • Direct marketing including sending at least one newsletter with product-related information to adults;

  • Improving the content and quality of CleverKids;

  • General monitoring of actions taken on the education platform by the various users (pupils and teachers);

  • Better tailoring of CleverKids to the interests, needs and wishes of its visitors and accurate tracking, improvement and completion of personal data as required by law;

  • Detecting fraud;

  • Reporting of data breach;

  • Troubleshooting and support data;

  • Payment information (processing payment method as well as address and billing data).

4.1 The users' personal data are stored via a hosting package on Google for the period that your account is active. These data are protected by up-to-date security mechanisms so that the protection is optimal and therefore possible data leaks can be prevented.

If you want more information about this, you can always contact us at:

5.1 The Company will not share data with third parties for secondary or unrelated purposes, unless stated otherwise at the time of data collection. The Company's employees or third parties engaged by it are obliged to respect and guarantee the confidentiality of the data on CleverKids.

5.2 Where appropriate or required, personal data can and will be disclosed by the Company to law enforcement, regulatory or other government agencies, or third parties - most notably: Google Analytics, Intercom and Stripe - where necessary or desirable to comply with legal and/or regulatory obligations or for the purposes set out above (Article 3).

6.1 Cookies will be used on the Website in order to ensure the proper and adequate operation of the Platform.
